Hi! I'm Shanelle, and I have been a loud and proud piano teacher since 2007. Teaching is my passion, and my goal is to help others find their love of music through the piano, just like I did.

I began playing the piano at the age of 4 and it has been my thing ever since. As a teenager I taught piano lessons all through junior high and high school, and after I graduated I had the opportunity to teach at a local academy. I studied Piano Pedagogy (fancy word for teaching) at Utah State University where I received my bachelor's degree. I taught in the Youth Conservatory at the university doing various group classes and private lessons. I was so honored to be awarded Teacher of the Year award twice! My experience there propelled me forward into what would become my teaching career.

I want to hear what YOUR goals are as a musician, and then tailor your lessons to really help you achieve those goals. We will work hard, but also have a lot of fun, too. We can gamify your lessons (with, like, actual games!), get off the bench and move around, or try learning some improv or composition. The possibilities with me are truly endless! With a great curriculum and your desire to become a well-rounded musician, you will undoubtedly be set up for success! 

I believe with my professional training and your interest in playing the piano,  we can make a great team. You have a spark within you, and I can't wait to help you share that with the world through music.
